|Winners of Muhammad (S) logotype festival honored||
TEHRAN – The winners of the first international festival for the creation of a logotype representing Prophet Muhammad (S) were announced during a ceremony held at the Iranian Artists Forum on Monday.
The artists were asked to design the phrase “Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah” in Persian, Arabic or English letters in different calligraphic, iconic, typographic, or handwritten forms.
Out of the 40 top works selected for the final judgment, the first prize went to Mohammad Hosseini, Baqer Jafari received the second prize, and the third prize went to Alireza Zakeri, Persian media reported on Tuesday.
The awards were handed to the winners by festival director Majid Majidi, who is also the director of the blockbuster “Muhammad (S)”, and Tehran’s Deputy Mayor for Social and Cultural affairs Hojjatoleslam Meysam Amrudi.
Davud Rahimi, Mostafa Seyyed-Ebrahimi, Mohsen Safaii, Hojjat Mojarrad and Mohammadreza Mollahosseini were also honored for their works at the festival.
Iranian graphic designers and artists Sedaqat Jabbari, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Jalil Rasuli and Masud Nejabati have selected the final top works.
The festival has been organized by Nur-e Taban, an Iranian film company which is the producer of Majidi’s blockbuster “Muhammad (S)”, and Tehran Municipality’s Beautification Organization.
Moreover, an exhibition of the selected works is underway in the forum located on Musavi St., off Taleqani Ave.
