|Mexican illustrator Gabriel Pacheco to hold workshop, exhibition in Tehran||
The workshops and exhibition, which will be held during his 10-day stay in Tehran, have been organized by Danne-ye Aab, a private Iranian illustration studio, Danne-ye Aab announced in a press release on Monday.
A collection of his works will go on display in an exhibition at the Iranian Artists Forum. A number of his works will go on sale to raise funds for the Mehrafarin Charity Society, which is dedicated to children deprived of education.
In addition, he is also scheduled to deliver a lecture during a seminar and to attend a meeting with Iranian artists during his stay.
The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) and the Iranian Artists Forum are also cooperating in this project.
Gabriel Pacheco has a rather simple but haunting style. His artworks are often paired with quotes or excerpts from literature.
The connection to story-telling in his illustrations seems to stem from his first work as a published artist, which were illustrations for a story written by his sister.
Pacheco continued to explore his native talent and created a splendid portfolio of illustrations for children’s books, poetry volumes and fantasy literature.
