International Persian poets, literati to come together in Iran

TEHRAN -- A group of Persian-language poets and literati from several countries will gather in a meeting, which will be held in Tehran and Isfahan next week.
The poets from Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, India and Russia will read their latest works during the three-day meeting, which will begin in Tehran on July 13.
Momen Qanaat, Mohammad-Ali Ajami, Taleb Karim Azarakhsh and Farzaneh Khojand from Tajikistan; Balram Shukla from India; Anna Berzina from Russia; and Seyyed Sekandar Hosseini, Afsar Rahbini and Seyyed Fazlollah Qodsi from Afghanistan have been invited to the meeting.
Iranian poets Ali Mo’allem Damghani, Yusef-Ali Mirshakkak, Ali Musavi Garmarudi, Alireza Qazveh, Nasser Feiz, Fazel Nazari, Saeid Biabanaki and Mohammad-Hossein Jafarian will also attend the meeting, which will end in the central Iranian city of Isfahan on July 15.
The poets and literati are scheduled to meet Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on July 12.
Tajik poets Mohammad-Ali Ajami, Farzaneh Khojand and Momen Qanaat, and Pakistani poet Zahir Ahmad Sediqi will be honored during the meeting.
