Iranian director plans to hire Aishwarya Rai for his new project

TEHRAN -- Iranian director Qorban Mohammadpur plans to hire Aishwarya Rai, one of Bollywood’s highest-paid actresses, for his new project entitled “Hello Bombay”.
 
Mohammadpur, Iranian superstar Mohammadreza Golzar, who will costar with Rai in the film project, producer Hassan Dadkhah, and the production manager of the project are scheduled to meet Rai and her advisor Amitabh Bachchan in India late August to negotiate a contract with her.
 
“Seeking other countries’ collaboration in joint productions is very important for us in this period of time when we want to promote our culture in the world,” Dadkhah told the Persian service of ISNA on Wednesday.
 
Rai will wear hijab in all scenes of the film, he said and added, “Therefore, we have hired an Iranian costume designer to avoid any problem for the Iranian premiere of the film.”
  
Most of which will be shot on location in India. Some scenes are also be shot in Iran and France.
 
Rai has previously asked for about $1 million from those collaborating in this project. Umesh Mehra, the Indian director and producer of Bollywood, will pay Rai’s salary, Dadkhah stated.
