“We Have a Guest” to compete in Busan festival
TEHRAN – Iranian director Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpur’s drama “We Have a Guest” will compete in the 19th Busan International Film Festival, which will be held in South Korea from October 2 to 11.
The film is about an elderly couple who brings their son, a war veteran, from an asylum to their home to welcome a special guest.
Finnish festival to screen doc on Lake Urmia
TEHRAN – The Iranian documentary “Lady Urmia” will go on screen at the 7th Wildlife Vaasa International Nature Film Festival, which will be held in Finland from October 1 to 5.
The 30-minute doc is about Iran’s Lake Urmia, the third largest salt water lake on earth, of which more than 70 percent has dried up over the past few years. 
The film is narrated in the voice of the Lake itself, crying for help and trying to gain international attention to its suffering.
