Isfahan to share art and culture at St. Petersburg exhibit

TEHRAN -- Isfahan will be displaying its historical art and culture at a tourism exhibition to be held in St. Petersburg in October, Russian Consul General in Isfahan Ali Mostafa Billy announced on Saturday.

In a meeting with Isfahan Governor General Alireza Zaker Isfahani, Mostafa Billy said that Iran, along with over 30 other countries, will be attending the INWETEX exhibition, running from October 12-14 at the Lenexpo Exhibition Center in St. Petersburg. 

INWETEX- the Travel Market is the largest single tourism event in Russia that annually attracts more than 460 companies from 33 countries and more than 9000 professionals in the tourism industry. 

Zaker Isfahani said that Isfahan is quite ready to display its varieties of art and handicrafts, adding that this is an excellent opportunity to introduce the high potential of the city for such events to the world.

Isfahan Province is ready to attend the program in St. Petersburg, helping to change the negative views of foreigners toward Iran, he added.
