TEHRAN -- Loqman Khaledi’s documentary on effects of using cell phones on Iranian society will go on screen at the Golden Minbar International Muslim Film Festival. Entitled “The Subscriber”, the 35-minute long documentary has benefited from academic research on the usage of text messages, Bluetooth and cell phones in Iran. “The documentary is based upon characters I found after research, but I do not make use of any expert opinion in the film,” Khaledi previously mentioned in an interview with Mardomsalari Newspaper. The festival will be held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, from September 6 to 12. The documentary is one of a 13-part documentary series named “Roaming in Tehran” which is produced by Channel Four of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
