TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Central Book City will hold a review session on works and achievements of the prominent Austrian composer of 18th century Joseph Haydn tomorrow evening.

Composer and music tutor Siamak Anvari will speak and review different musical pieces composed by Haydn during the event named “Salute Mr. Joseph Haydn”.

The event is the fourth in a program of monthly music sessions entitled “Coffee and Music” being held by Tehran’s Central Book City.

The previous session was dedicated to the late Romantic Austrian composer and conductor Gustav Mahler (1860 - 1911).

Joseph Haydn, whose full name was Franz Joseph Haydn (1732 - 1809), was the Austrian composer who was one of the most important figures in the development of the Classical style in music during the 18th century.

He also helped establish forms and styles for the string quartet and the symphony.

The venue is located on Shariati St. near Moallam intersection on the corner of Kalateh Valley..
