| Vahdat Hall to host Kurdish concerts |

TEHRAN -- The Zhiwar ensemble will perform Kurdish melodies accompanied by traditional dance at the Vahdat Hall on September 9, 19 and 20. The concerts will be performed in two sections, namely Persian and Kurdish, and the latter will be accompanied by folk dance, the ensemble’s conductor and vocalist Zhiwar Sheikholeslam told the Persian service of ISNA. The selections in the Persian section are composed by Rozita Janamian and Parviz Meshkatian, and in the Kurdish section, they are composed by Ali Najafpur, Golnush Malayeri and Kamkars, he said. Poems composed by Taha Shiva in Kurdish section will be accompanied by santur and ney, Sheikholeslam added. Rozita Janamian on santur, Golnush Malayeri on santur bass, Mina Ashabi on kamancheh, Nazanin Qasemi on ud, Nayyereh Ali-Asghar Fakhri on tonbak and Parya Pirzadeh on tar will accompany the ensemble.
