| World poets to celebrate National Hafez Day in Shiraz |

TEHRAN -- Poets from different countries will celebrate the closing ceremony of Iran’s World and Iranian Poets’ Conference at the mausoleum of Hafez, the Hafezieh located in Shiraz. The ceremony will be held on the occasion of National Hafez Day, the day before the celebration on the evening of October 11. Over 50 invitations have been sent to poets from different countries, which are passed on to them by the embassies of their countries in Tehran, the executive secretary of the conference Mostafa Omidi told the Persian service of MNA. The attendees are different from those poets who participated at the first edition of the festival, however there are some similarities as well, he added. “There are some proposals from different universities and academic centers to host foreign poets during their sojourn,” he added. He said that the names of the foreign poets will be announced as soon as they are confirmed and the selected poems will be published in a bilingual book in English and Persian. The second edition of the conference will be held from October 4 to 12 in Tehran and Shiraz.
