Appearing in several movies including “Aal” and “Snow on the Hot Roof”, Nemati will be judging films for the first time. Iranian cineaste Mehdi Rahmani was also among the jury members selected for the festival. He will also hold a workshop during the event. Entitled “The Impact of Documentary Cinema on Fiction Films”, the workshop will be accompanied by a retrospective on his documentaries. For more than a decade, the Avanca Film Festival has screened significant films in different genres including animation feature films, documentaries, and experimental videos during the festival.
