The twelve-year-old Salari is a genius in art as the critics and experts exclaim, pointing to her collection of abstract paintings. Her exhibition last year of her works in Rome surprised every visitor, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Saturday.

Maestro Alberto Vespaziani, President of the Association of Cento Pittori di Via Margutta regarded her paintings as extremely beautiful, saying that only famous artists in the world could make such significant works.

The first edition of the festival will be hosting participants from different countries, including Italy, Albania, Tajikistan, and Lebanon, competing with Iranian children, director of the Office for Visual Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mahmud Shaluii said in a press conference held here on Saturday.

“Adults have enjoyed several festivals and programs over the past years, but a special program for children was missing. And this is the first edition with several international artists,” Shaluii added.

He continued that children would be offering their artworks in different fields including painting, illustration, cartoon, drawing, collage, and calligraphy.

“Nature, family respect, sports, rain, fresh air and prayers are some of the topics selected for the festival in which children aged 6-9 years old and young adults 10-14 years will be competing,” he mentioned.

He added that the jury comprised of adults will be judging the works this year but he expressed hope that children will be judging next year and in future editions.

Several workshops will also be set up during the festival that is running until July 27.

The event has been organized by the Office for Visual Arts. The Isfahan Municipality and the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults are among the festival’s sponsors.
