| “The Earth and the Universe” heading to Polish festival |

TEHRAN – A group of Iranian puppeteers is scheduled to perform “The Earth and the Universe” at the International Festival of Puppetry Art, which will be held in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, from May 25 to 30.
The group led by Zahra Sabri will give two performances on May 30, the Persian service of MNA reported on Wednesday.
“The Earth and the Universe” is an adaptation of seven stories from the Masnavi-ye Manavi, the magnum opus of the Iranian poet and mystic Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi.
Puppeteers Roxana Bahram, Fatemeh Abbasi and Mona Sarbandi and assistant director Zohreh Baratlu will accompany Sabri during the performances.
The play has previously been performed at festivals in Russia, Armenia, Spain, Lebanon and several other countries.
Puppet plays from Germany, France, Italy and several more are slated to be staged during the festival.
