A collection of artworks created using techniques of textile collage, embroidery and weaving on canvases will be put on display in an exhibit at the gallery of the Mellat Cinema Complex from May 29 to June 20.
The artworks have been created by Ane Mohammad Tatari, Narges Jadid, Negin Naserani, Sadaf Nadimi, Elham Hashemi and seven other artists.
The artworks reflect local patterns and designs mostly created by female artists, art critic Solmaz Naraqi wrote in a note published on Saturday.
The complex is located on Vali-e Asr Ave., off Niayesh Highway.
Painting
* The Khak Gallery is currently hosting an exhibition of paintings by Narges Hashemi.
The exhibit runs until June 13 at the gallery located at 1 Jila Ave., off Basiri St, Qolhak Crossing.
* Paintings by Bijan Akhgar are currently on display in exhibit at the Tarrahan-e Azad Gallery.
The showcase continues until May 31 at the gallery, which can be found at 41 Salmas Square off Fatemi St.
* The Golestan Gallery is currently playing host to an exhibition of paintings by Tahereh Vahedian.
The exhibit runs until May 31 at the gallery located at 42 Kamasaii St. in the Darus neighborhood.
* An exhibition of paintings by Hamidreza Rostami and Nafiseh Oftadeh is currently underway at the Eyvan Gallery.
The art show runs until May 31 at the gallery, which can be found at No.25, Kaman Alley, Haqqani Ave, off Africa St.
* The Laleh Gallery will hang paintings by 29 artists in an exhibition from May 27 to 31.
The gallery is located on Fatemi St., near Laleh Park.
* Paintings by Mojdeh Sajjadi are currently on display in an exhibition at the Seen Gallery.
The show continues until June 6 at the gallery located at No. 16, 12th Alley, S. Piruzan St. off Hormozan Ave. in the Shahrak-e Gharb neighborhood.
Photo and video art
* A exhibition of photos and video arts by Parham Taqiof is currently underway at the Aan Gallery.
The exhibition runs until June 6 at 40 Seoul St. off Vanak Sq.
* The Dey Gallery is currently playing host to an exhibition of photos by Majid Dukhtechizadeh.
The exhibit runs until June 1 at the gallery located on 1st Naz Alley, 4th Tangestan St. off Pasdaran Ave.
Sculpture
* An exhibition of paintings by Hooman Mehdizadeh-Jafari is currently underway at the Shirin Gallery.
The exhibit will run until June 3 at the gallery located at 145 North Salimi St., off Andarzgu Blvd. in the Farmanieh neighborhood.
