Javad Hardani wins Iran's 9th Paralymic gold medal

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_javad_hardani.jpgLONDON - Iran's Javad Hardani claimed the gold medal in the Men's Discus Throw F37/38 at the London 2012 Paralympic Games at Olympic Park Stadium on Feiday.
 
The Iranian won the gold medal with a throw of 52.91m. Xia Dong of China finished at second place, throwing 55.81m and bronze medal went to Tomasz Blatkiewicz of poland with 54.02m.
"I am so happy since I could wave my country's flag in front of 80,000 spectators around the stadium," Hardani said.
 
The 2012 London Summer Paralympics opened in on August 29 and runs until September 9. The Paralympic Games is the world's second largest major international multi-sport event, involving athletes with a range of physical challenges.
Iran has sent 79 athletes, competing in 13 events, to the London Paralympics.
