Imposition of sanctions shows hegemons’ weakness, Ahmadinejad tells Morales

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_02_ep3(51).jpgTEHRAN – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that the imposition of sanctions on independent countries by the hegemonistic powers illustrates their weakness. 
 
Ahmadinejad made the remarks during a meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales in New York on Tuesday, which was held on the sidelines of the 67th Session of the United Nations General Assembly that opened at the UN Headquarters on September 18. 
 
The Iranian president said, “The enemies of independent nations know better that anyone else that these pressures and sanctions will get nowhere.”   
 
He also commented on the relations between Iran and Bolivia and said that the two countries will stand by each other. 
 
Morales said that Bolivia is keen to expand its relations with Iran. 
 
The Iranian president also met with a number of other officials on Tuesday.
