During the meeting, Westerwelle emphasized that the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program should be resolved through diplomatic channels.
The Iranian and German foreign ministers also discussed the latest regional and international developments.
In addition, Salehi met with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and Singaporean Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam in New York, Iranian media outlets reported on Tuesday.
