.jpg) ISFAHAN – Esteghlal and Zob Ahan football teams played out a goalless draw on Saturday.
Esteghlal remained three points clear at the top of the Iran Professional League (IPL).
IPL leader had a lackluster performance in the second half but earned one point in its away game.
“Zob Ahan played better than us and I am happy to collect one point. I congratulate them for their performance, however, the pitch was not acceptable,” Esteghlal coach Amir Ghalenoei said in the post-match news conference.
Traktorsazi moved up to second place after defeating Mes 3-1 in Kerman. Foolad was held to a 1-1 draw by Saipa in Karaj and Aluminum and Naft played out a goalless draw in Bandar Abbas.
