TEHRAN – The Iranian Army will hold a military exercise by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, which concludes on March 20, Army Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan told IRNA on Sunday.
Pourdastan said that foot soldiers and artillery and cavalry units would take part in the war games.
He also said that the maneuvers would be held in southwestern Iran.
A three-day exercise of ground troops of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, entitled the Great Prophet 8, started on Saturday in the southeastern Iranian province of Kerman.
