The one-day missile exercise was held near the city of Kashan, in Isfahan Province.

The Fajr 5, which is an artillery rocket, and the Nazeat 10, which is a medium-range ballistic missile, were tested during the exercise.

The exercise was conducted to test advanced missile systems, which have recently been delivered to the Army, and improve the skills of the Army’s missile units.

Deputy Army Commander Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari had previously said that the missile units of the Army would practice combat tactics and conduct special operations during the drill.

The Iranian Army also held a three-day military exercise in southwest country from March 9 to 11.

Electronic warfare systems and military equipment needed to conduct asymmetrical operations were successfully tested during the maneuvers.
