TEHRAN – The Omani ambassador to Tehran said on Wednesday that his country’s ruler, Sultan Qaboos, attaches special importance to developing ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The ambassador made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
Fortunately, in the recent years, with the full support of the Iranian parliament, the relations between Iran and Oman have improved considerably, the ambassador added.
The ambassador also handed over a letter from Khalid bin Hilal bin Nasser al-Ma’awali, the speaker of Omani Advisory Council (Majlis A’Shura), to Larijani to make an official visit to Muscat.
Larijani described relations between Iran and Oman as very good and stable.
Iran prioritizes establishing “friendly and brotherly” relations with all neighboring countries, especially Oman, Larijani stated.
The political, parliamentary, and economic relations between Iran and Oman are on the rise and this has a positive effect on regional stability, Larijani noted.
