ISFAHAN - Alireza Rahimi stepped down as general manager of Sepahan on Monday.
Rahimi had announced his resignation in a surprise move in May after Sepahan won Iran’s Hazfi Cup by beating Persepolis in penalty shootout.
“Rahimi has stepped down because of high pressure. We wish him all the best,” head of borad of directors Mohammad Torabi was quoted as saying by Mehr news agency.
Rahimi replaced Mohammad-Reza Saket in 2011 August.
Sepahan wantaway midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari has reportedly left the team.
Jabbari joined Sepahan from Esteghlal in July.
