TEHRAN – Iran has arrested a spy working for the British intelligence agency MI6 in the southeastern Iranian city of Kerman, the head of Kerman’s revolutionary court announced on Saturday.
“The accused had contacted British intelligence officers in person 11 times both inside and outside the country,” Dadkhoda Salari told the ISNA news agency.
The accused had been in contact with four British intelligence officers, Salari said, adding that he had confessed and was on trial.
He did not provide further details.
