With eight minutes remaining Karim Ansarifard found the back of the net. Ansarifard dribbled past the Saudi Arabian defenders and scored a stunning goal with a powerful shot.

Tractor Sazi went down to 10 men in the 60th minute after Ali Karimi was shown his second yellow card for a tackle on Al Ittihad player.

“I am satisfied with the way my players played. In the first half, we controlled the match and deserved to win. I think the best team won the match,” Tractor coach Antonio Jose Conceicao Oliveira said during the post match news conference.

Last night, Iran’s Esteghlal suffered a home defeat against Al Shabab at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran.

Palestinian forward Imad Khalili scored in the 59th minute in Group A.
