Alireza Sistani, while on his motorcycle, had a head-on collision with a sedan on Thursday which left him lying brain dead in a hospital for five days.

Saeed Sistani, the father of the late man, told IRNA on Tuesday that after a series of ineffective medical treatment on their son at a hospital in Neka – a city 20 kilometers east of Sari in northern Iran - they decided to donate their young son’s body organs to those in need.

Alireza’s body was then sent to Tehran where his heart, liver, kidneys, lungs along with their corresponding tissues were transplanted to seven patients.

The parents are grateful that their son’s last breath gave breath of life to seven sick individuals whose hopes to see tomorrow were getting dimmer.

“I wish them all happy, peaceful, long lives”, the father said.

Although Alireza won’t be around to watch his four-year-old daughter grow up, but surely his daughter would be proud to later on call her father the hero who saved 7 lives.
