TEHRAN - Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution is scheduled to hold a session on Tuesday to decide whether the activities of the University of Iranians should be stopped or not.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is to preside over the session, the Alef website reported on Monday.
The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology has announced that it has not given permission for such a university, but the university officials insist they have legal permission and has started enrolling students.
The ministry officials have stated that the university has not received any permission.
The University of Iranians was established by former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in July 2013.
