TEHRAN - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made a trip to Beirut on Saturday.
Amir-Abdollahian headed to Beirut after a telephone conversation between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil.
The deputy foreign minister made the trip to discuss the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip with Palestinian and Lebanese officials.
Israel has started an intensive attack on Gaza from air, land and sea. The death toll in the coastal strip has reached about 1000, with children and women as the main victims.
