Iran took the team title of the FILA Junior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia on Sunday.
The Iranian outfit claimed the title with 64 points, followed by the U.S. (58) and Russia (49) respectively.
The Iranian freestyle wrestlers bagged three gold medals and three bronze medals in eight weight categories.
Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani sent congratulations message to the country's freestyle wrestling team on winning the championship title at the competitions.
“On behalf of myself and members of the (Iranian) parliament, I would like to congratulate the Iranian nation, athletes, coaches, technical staff and the country’s sports communitym,” Larijani said in his message.
