TEHRAN – A former Iranian first vice president, identified only by the initials M.R., has been found guilty of the charges against him, Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said on Monday.
According to Mohseni-Ejei, the former vice president has been sentenced to prison terms and ordered to pay fines for the offences.
He refrained from elaborating further on the issue, saying, “As long as a verdict has not been finalized, we cannot talk about its details. However, the verdict includes serving prison terms and paying fines,” the Mehr News Agency quoted the Judiciary official as saying.
