Iran’s 5-month cement output hits 30.5m tons

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_04_cement2.jpgTEHRAN - Iran’s cement output amounted to 30.5 million tons in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (ended on August 21), the IRIB reported.
 
The output was 3.2 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
 
Iran produced over 66.4 million tons of cement in the past calendar year, showing 8 percent rise compared to the year before.
 
Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari has said that the country's current cement production capacity stands at 74 million tons. Ghazanfari added that the figure will reach 110 million tons by 2015.
