Iran’s annual cement output projected at 75m tons

c_330_235_16777215_0_http___www.tehrantimes.com_images_stories_famous_04_cement2.jpgTEHRAN - Iran plans to produce 75 million tons of cement by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2013), the deputy industry minister stated.
 
Vajihollah Jafari told the ISNA news agency that the total cement production capacity will reach 86 million tons.
 
Iran’s cement output amounted to 30.5 million tons in the first five months of the current year, the IRIB reported.
 
The output was 3.2 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
 
Iran produced over 66.4 million tons of cement in the past calendar year, showing 8 percent rise compared to the year before.
 
Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari has said that the country's current cement production capacity stands at 74 million tons. Ghazanfari added that the figure will reach 110 million tons by 2015.
