Iran to help Syria build 5 flour mills

TEHRAN - Iran will launch a plan to help build five flour mills in Syria, IRIB reported in a press release on Tuesday.
 
Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al Halqi said that the plan is aimed at strengthening the national economy of Syria.
 
The Syrian government will take necessary measures for the fast start of construction operations, he added.
 
In December 2011, Iran and Syria signed a free trade agreement in a bid to boost bilateral trade especially in industry, mining and agriculture.
 
In April 2012, the two countries started to implement their free trade agreement.
 
The deal would boost bilateral trade to $2 billion from around $700 million.
