Iran boosts aluminum ingot output by 6%

TEHRAN - Iran produced 119,560 tons of aluminum ingots in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 21, 2013, which was 6 percent more than the figure in the same period of the past year.
 
The volume of aluminum ingot production in the country over the fourth Iranian calendar month of Tir (June 22-July 22) stood at 30,127 tons, which showed a 10-percent growth compared to the corresponding period a year earlier, the Mehr News Agency reported.
 
Iran also produced 29,900 tons of aluminum ingots in the second Iranian calendar month of Ordibehesht (April 21-May 21). The figure showed a 3.5-percent growth compared to the last year.
