|Iran’s Central Bank governor to attend IMF, WBG meeting||
TEHRAN - The Central Bank of Iran Governor, Valiollah Seif, left Tehran for Washington on Tuesday to take part in the 2013 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), which will take place in Washington, D.C., October 11-13, 2013.
A high-ranking economic delegation is accompanying Seif to the United States.
The annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund each year bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
Also featured are seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and many other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world's financial system.
The host country for the meetings is selected every three years by member states.
