|Iran exported petrochemicals worth $8.12 bil in Mar-Nov||
Dubai (Platts)-- Iran exported petrochemicals worth $8.12 billion in the period March to November 2013, according to a report released by Iran Customs Administration, or IRICA.
The report identified China, Iraq, the UAE and India as the prime destinations for Iran's petrochemical exports.
The country exported methanol worth $877 million and urea worth of $866 million, according to IRICA. It provided no further details on aromatics and polymers exports.
In late November, the U.S. and EU eased sanctions placed on Iran over its nuclear program, however several market sources said that it remains difficult to procure and trade Iranian petrochemical cargoes.
