|Iran’s jobless rate declines to 10.3%||
TEHRAN – Jobless rate in Iran fell to 10.3 percent in autumn this year from 10.4 percent in summer, the Statistical Center of Iran announced on Sunday.
Jobless rates among men and women were 8.5 percent and 20.4 percent, respectively, IRNA reported.
Iran must create 8.5 million new jobs in the next two years, Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ali Tayyebnia said on November 19.
In August, Iranian Deputy Labor Minister Mohammad-Hossein Forouzan-Mehr said plans were underway to reduce the unemployment rate in Iran to seven percent by 2015.
The unemployment rate will fall by one percent each year during 2013-2015, he added.
