|Iran, Oman to expand aviation co-op||
TEHRAN - Iran and Oman have signed an agreement to enhance cooperation in the aviation industry.
Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization director Alireza Jahangirian signed the agreement with Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation director Mohammed bin Nassir al Za’abi in Muscat on Friday.
Based on the agreement, the two sides agreed to increase the number of flights between the two countries from 14 to 30 per week.
They also agreed to open the sky to operate cargo flights without any restrictions on the number of flights.
Iran will invest $4 billion in Oman’s industrial port of al-Duqm and assist in building a number of important projects in the Sultanate, Ali Akbar Sibawaih, the Iranian ambassador to Oman said.
