|Iran’s monthly beef imports hit 11,000 tons||
TEHRAN - Iran imported 11,000 tons of beef, worth about $65.5 million, in the first Iranian calendar month of Farvardin (March 21-April 20), the ISNA news agency reported on Wednesday.
According to the Iranian Customs Administration, Iran imported beef from seven countries in Farvardin.
The United Arab Emirates was the largest exporter of beef to Iran. Iran imported about 6,600 tons of beef, valued at $41.5 million, from the UAE.
Iran also imported over 2,700 tons of beef, worth $15 million, from Brazil.
India, Pakistan, China, and Ireland were the next largest exporters of beef to Iran in the first Iranian calendar month.
