|Turkey’s imports from Iran up 31% in July: TurkStat||
TEHRAN- Turkey imported $929 million worth of goods from Iran in July, showing 31 percent growth compared to the same month last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
Turkey’s imports from Iran stood at $710 million in July 2013, the Tasnim News Agency reported on Sunday.
It is while the worth of Turkey’s exports to Iran declined to $331 million in July 2014, an 11 percent fall compared to $375 million in July 2013.
Turkey was the 6th biggest importer of Iranian non-oil goods in the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, 2014, according to the Iran Customs Administration.
Iran exported $1.64 billion of non-oil goods to Turkey and imported $3.64 billion of non-oil goods from the country.
On August 2, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said Turkey wants to raise its trade with Iran to $35 billion in 2015.
