|Hundreds of foreign investors visited Iran over past year: official||
TEHRAN – Some 300 foreign business delegations have traveled to Iran over the past 12 months, according to Iranian Deputy Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Mohammad Khazaii.
The number of foreign delegations visiting Iran has risen nearly five-fold since two years ago, the Mehr News Agency quoted Khazaii as saying on Saturday.
Some of the delegations represented over 100 companies, he mentioned.
One of the striking developments in Iran in recent months has been the large external capital inflows, mostly in the form of foreign direct investment (FDI), thanks largely to its initial progress in macroeconomic stabilization, improved investment regime, and progress in nuclear negotiations with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - (Russia, China, the U.S., France, Britain) plus Germany.
