 TEHRAN -- Iran exported 91,358 tons of nuts and dried fruits, worth some $297.8 million, in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (ended June 21, 2011), the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported.In comparison to the previous year’s corresponding figures, the amounts show 30 percent and 23.5 percent increase in terms of weight and value, respectively. Pistachio was the key item in the list of exported products. The value of exported nuts and dried fruits reached $1.455 billion in the past Iranian calendar year, the report further added.
