Member of the Iranian Parliament’s economic commission Seyed Kazem Delkhosh said in an interview with IRNA that Iran and Azerbaijan have very significant potential to further expand trade and economic cooperation.
Currently, the annual turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran is about $300-$400 million and this is a fairly low level.
Both countries can successfully use services of each other in industry, engineering and technology, and Iran is able to meet needs of Azerbaijan in all spheres of trade and business.
Given the significant economic potential of the two countries, annual trade between them can be increased 5-6 times compared with current levels of trade, Delkhosh noted.
Referring to the recent visit of Iranian parliamentary delegation headed by Chairman of the Majlis to Baku, Delkhosh said that exchange of delegations contribute to expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and creates conditions for their economic prosperity.
