Iran needs some $33 billion to complete road projects

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_04_road.jpgTEHRAN - The Iranian roads and urban development minister needs 400 trillion rials (some $33 billion) to complete its semi-finished projects, the deputy roads and urban development minister said.
 
Ahmad Sadeqi told the Mehr News Agency that the budget can be secured through issuing bonds and selling shares of state-run companies as well as allocating oil revenues to the projects.
 
This year, around 23 trillion rials has been allocated to the road projects, he said, adding that more than 43,000 kilometers of railroads and highways will be built across the country.
