Rice polluted with arsenic causes child cancer

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_08_Rice-Rice.jpgTEHRAN – The head of the Tehran City Council Environmental Committee warned on Tuesday that outdated tea and the rice polluted with arsenic causes cancer among children and advised families not to give rice to their children. 
 
She said there are numerous reasons behind the outbreak of cancer and one of them is the pollution of foodstuff.
 
The councilwoman, who was addressing the Tehran City Council, also appreciated the services rendered by Professor Parvaneh Vosough who passed away on Sunday.
 
Professor Vosough, who dedicated her life to treating kids with cancer, was the volunteer director of the board of trustees of Mahak, a charity foundation.
