Olive oil prevents heart attacks and cancer

TEHRAN — Studies show a daily consumption of olive oil reduces heart diseases and cancer. 

Olive oil prevents breast and colon cancer as it contains enough antioxidants, natural softeners and anti-choleric substances, nutrition expert Mitra Zarrati tells the Fars news agency.

Zarrati says olive oil is a combination of oleic, linoleic and palmitic acids, which lower heart disease risk. 

Instead of using saturated oil it is recommended to use olive oil, but not more than what is required.   

Olive oil alleviates joint pains because it contains high amounts of vitamin E, antioxidants and large amount of omega 3 and oleocanthal, Zarrati explained.
