Men are recommended to avoid getting too close to microwave ovens, Vahid Jaafari, an environmental health expert, says. Microwave radiation, like light rays, is part of electromagnetic spectrum. Household microwave ovens have a frequency of 2450 megahertz. If microwave radiation oven uses higher frequency it will be able to heat foods and body tissues as well, to the point of burning one’s body tissues, Jaafari explained. The expert added continuous exposure to radiation also causes cataract. Jaafari also warned patients with artificial pace makers not to get too close to microwave radiation as it badly affects such devices.
