Over 7,000 employees have been questioned by the researchers about their sleeping habits. The shocking result is that 23 percent suffer from insomnia, and that means a loss of 7.8 days of work a year for their employers due to the reduced productivity. On the development of insomnia, an independent sleep-medicine specialist said: "There appears to be more insomnia, given more work and family responsibilities, and more technological improvements and distractions."
