Multithumb found errors on this page: There was a problem loading image C:\wamp\www\images/stories/08_15people.jpg  So far 15 people have died and at least 84 have become seriously ill after eating cantaloupes contaminated with the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say. The cases occurred in 19 states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. In Colorado alone there have been reported 17 cases. A produce company in California said it issued a recall for 2,498 cartons of chopped romaine lettuce as it may be contaminated with Listeria, as well.
