Wherever Dr. Majid M. Naini talks, everyone is amazed by his electrifying and mesmerizing rendition of Rumi’s poetry and his ability to explain the most complex subjects in simple terms. Many members of Dr. Naini’s audiences have commented that he “radiates warmth and love and Rumi’s spirit moves within him” and they have been “transformed by his talks.”
Dr. Naini is one of the foremost scholars of Rumi, the 13th century Persian mystic (Sufi), who has been the best-selling poet in the U.S. for the past several years. Dr. Naini received his B.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering and his Master's Degree in Computer Science. He has a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, the birthplace of ENIAC, the first digital computer in the world.
Professor Naini has been an active researcher and the designer of several state-of-the-art Computer and Information Technology projects with prestigious multi-national corporations. He has obtained numerous grants and contracts from various funding organizations and industries for research and development of high-tech products.
Professor Naini is a world traveler who has lived and taught in four different continents. For over 30 years of his life, Dr. Naini has been a student of mysticism, Sufism, poetry, literature, history, and numerous traditions and cultures.
He has been an invited speaker at over 300 national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and talk shows.
Dr. Naini’s latest book, “The Mysteries of the Universe and Rumi’s Discoveries on the Majestic Path of Love,” has also traveled around the world, reaching places as diverse as India, Japan, Iran, Oman, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Germany, Afghanistan, Sweden, and Australia. Dr. Naini is the author of many innovative books and papers in the fields of science, technology, mysticism, and spirituality. Professor Naini is also the main speaker and consultant for a documentary film and movie about Rumi which is being produced in California.
Dr. Naini’s talks attract individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds with a broad range of interests including science, technology, medicine, mysticism, the mind-body-spirit relation and balance, the magical effect of love on the human life and condition, the life journey, literature, and poetry. Dr. Naini’s universal message has also led to offers for translating his books and talks into French, Spanish, German, Italian, Persian, and Arabic.
