 TEHRAN – Deputy Navy Commander Mahmoud Mousavi announced on Monday that the Jamaran destroyer has been moored in the Port of Salalah, Oman. On October 9, the Iranian Navy’s 16th fleet of warships, comprised of the Jamaran destroyer and the Bandar Abbas gunboat, set sail for the north of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden. It is the first time that Iran has sent a domestically manufactured destroyer on a mission in international waters.
